Before you start serving up the apple cider or scoping out the local pumpkin patch, why not celebrate the end of summer with these great events, happening in Regina this Labour Day weekend.
September 2 – 3, Wascana Park, Free
Grab a drink at the Dragon’s Lair Beer Tent and watch the long boats race in Wascana Park. You can compete as well! Not in dragon boat racing, but rather in Beer Paddle, Flippy Cup, Drum Battle, and Air Band. Grab some steaming flapjacks at the Saturday morning pancake breakfast, and that watch the sky bloom during the Saturday night Dragon Fireworks Display.
September 5, Lumsden, $5 per duck entry
Drive over to nearby Lumsdey for your chance at rubber duck glory. Each year up to 25,000 numbered plastic ducks are dropped into the Qu’Appelle River, and the first 20 ducks to cross the finish line will score some serious cash prizes. One rubber duck entry costs $5 and you can buy tickets online here. Watching the race and checking out the vendors and food carts is free!
September 2 at 2 pm, 1901 Dewdney Ave, Free
Rebellion offers free tours every Saturday at 2pm. See behind the scenes and sample their excellent brew.
