But this amazing city is also one of the newest and hottest culinary cities in Canada. We’ve detailed the restaurants that have foodies raving around the world. 

 

The Fifth Ticket

Hedley’s Jacob Hoggard visited The Fifth Ticket in our Newfoundland episode and loved it. Incredible food, good service, and great ambiance. Being in the Atlantic, the seafood charcuterie is a must as every bite is unique, fresh, and distinct. The lamb and duck are also great options. All fresh and many local ingredients make this restaurant a can’t miss.

This hip restaurant is consistently ranked as one of the best in Canada and features an ever-evolving menu with locally sourced ingredients and an extensive wine list. Fine dining with a refined atmosphere, but an incredible culinary experience you can’t pass on.

One of our favourite restaurants in Newfoundland and Labrador, Mallard Cottage is located in a cozy historical cabin and offers an insanely good breakfast as well as an ever-changing dinner menu that features many locally sourced seasonal meals and classic Newfoundland recipes.

Adelaide Oyster House

The cocktails are incredible and worth the visit alone. Great overall atmosphere, the prices are fair, and the presentation of each dish is photo worthy. This restaurant is definitely worth checking out. If the menu stumps you, try the fish tacos.
